About the Role:

The Vet Technician Manager at Coyne Veterinary Center - Crown Point plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the veterinary technical team, ensuring the highest standards of animal care and client service.   • Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and animal handling techniques.
  • Proficiency with veterinary practice management software and electronic medical records.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology or related field.
  • Experience managing a team in a busy veterinary hospital or specialty practice.
  • Advanced certifications such as VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialist) in a relevant discipline.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards including OSHA and state veterinary board requirements.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the veterinary technician team to ensure high-quality patient care and professional development.
  • Coordinate daily clinical operations, including patient preparation, diagnostic testing, and treatment procedures.
  • Manage staff scheduling, workload distribution, and performance evaluations to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians to develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Oversee inventory control, equipment maintenance, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Facilitate communication between technical staff, veterinarians, and administrative personnel to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and onboarding of new veterinary technicians.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to clinical operations and staff productivity.
