Job Title: Tax Preparer
Location: Madison, WI (East Side)
Salary: $60,000 – $85,000 + commissions
Full-Time | Benefits Included
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join a well-established tax and financial services firm in Madison. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations and experience assisting clients with accurate and efficient tax preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals.
Utilize Drake Tax software.
Analyze financial information to determine optimal tax strategies.
Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
Stay current on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with the tax team to address complex tax issues and provide comprehensive solutions.
Complete mandatory training (provided).
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in tax preparation required.
Enrolled Agent designation preferred.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, and Outlook.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
