Our **Cert - Surgery Technologists** **(ORT)** positions are critical to the success of St. Josephs Medical Center and require the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health. The **Cert - Surgery Technologists** **(ORT)** has a limited technical background and performs routine Patient Care activities and related non-professional services in the care of sub-acute and acute patients undergoing Surgical Procedures. The ORT works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Knows philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Department and supports these premises. This position requires providing care/service to an acutely ill through rehabilitating pediatric through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served. We are a high volume OR with many specialities including general surgery urology ENT orthospine gastroenterology GYN and CVOR utilizing the da Vinci Xi da Vinci Si and Mako robots. \#hellosurgicaltechs #Cardiovascular #CVOR **Job Requirements** **Minimum:** + Must have a minimum of six months experience in an acute care Surgery Department and be able to perform as the scrub personnel in all specialties. + Six months experience may substituted if the candidate has completed an ORT externship on-site within the last year. If operational conditions permit training a candidate without the required experience may be considered but must be a recent Graduate from an or Tech Program and certified. + OR Tech Certified required + CPR/BLS Certification required **Preferred:** + Completion of Operating Room Technician Training Course preferred. + Cardiovascular experience strongly preferred. \#hellosurgicaltechs **Where You'll Work** St. Josephs Medical Center is a member of Dignity Health.
