Senior Systems Administrator (Onsite - Louisville, GA)

Please note: This position is onsite in Georgia. Candidate must be local or willing to relocate.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Occasional travel to other client locations may be required (up to 3 hours away). All qualified travel expenses will be reimbursed per company policy.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our Managed IT team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the critical server infrastructure supporting a high-profile client, ensuring optimal system performance and stability. The role will be based onsite in Louisville, GA (or Augusta, GA) and will involve periodic travel to client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as subject matter expert for customer environments, providing advanced Wintel support for hosted systems.
• Lead escalations and troubleshooting efforts for complex issues across servers, desktops, and applications.
• Administer and maintain Windows Server 2012+, Windows 10+ desktop OS, Active Directory, Azure AD, Entra ID, and M365 environments.
• Perform server builds, application deployments, and proactive system maintenance.
• Manage and support Citrix Virtual Apps, Desktops, and backend infrastructure.
• Administer Microsoft Intune, Azure MFA, Single Sign-On, and Microsoft Autopilot configurations.
• Execute M365 migrations and tenant administration tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for incident management, system outages, and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with audit preparation and vulnerability remediation across workstations and servers.
• Continuously refine system processes for improved performance and stability.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in systems administration and engineering for large-scale enterprise environments.
• Expert knowledge of Windows Server 2016+, Active Directory, Azure AD, and virtualization technologies (VMware preferred).
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for infrastructure automation and management.
• Knowledge of server hardware platforms such as Hypervisor and ESXi.
• Expertise with TCP/IP networking, DNS, LDAP, SMTP, SSL, TLS, and related protocols.
• Experience with multi-tier application deployments and enterprise monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as BigFix, SCCM, or WDS.
• Solid understanding of ITIL v3/v4 frameworks, SLAs, and change management processes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for local travel.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Linux Administration experience.
• Azure Foundations Certification or higher.
• M365 Administration Certification.
• CCNA certification.
• Experience with additional tools such as:
• SCCM, WDS, WVD, iBoss, Netskope, CrowdStrike, IIS, BigFix, ServiceNow, Zabbix, etc.
