GENERAL SUMMARY
\n\n\tPlans, provides, and monitors individualized nursing care in response to specific patient needs within a defined scope of practice. Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care respective to the assigned patient population. Reports to departmental management.
\n\t\tESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
\n\n\tProvides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care.
\n\t\tPlans, provides, and monitors specific patient needs following established policies, procedures, and regulations.
\n\t\tCommunicates and collaborates effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
\n\t\tPerforms other duties as assigned.
\n\t\tLICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
\n\n\tCurrent Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.
\n\t\tMINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
\n\n\t\n\t\t
Must have an Associates in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience. BSN is preferred.
\n\t\t \n\t\tRN certification preferred.
\n\t\tPediatric experience preferred.
\n\t\tCPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
\n\t\tWORKING CONDITIONS
\n\n\tExpected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
