Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE:

This position reports directly to the VP of Retail Sales. This individual supports the retail selling function by guiding and administering all sales-specific analytic and administrative tasks of the Retail Sales Team. They are also responsible for maintaining sales databases, effective record keeping of trade spending, and general communication. Provides administrative support for the field sales team, handles customer forms and templates, reviews and audits customer claims, and supports team meeting logistics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain trackers, reports, and dashboards to monitor KPI performance
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for the sales team
  • Present data-driven insights to management and make recommendations for strategic decisions
  • Assist in enhancing trade planning and spend through post-promotion analysis and internal trade budget tracking
  • Manage customer portals and assist with ad hoc customer reporting
  • Support field sales team requests for customer insights and planning
  • Assist in the development and building of customer presentations
  • Maintain sales databases and provide effective record keeping of trade spending
  • Handle basic administrative functions such as completing customer forms/templates and reviewing/auditing customer claims
  • Support team meeting logistics and other requests as directed by the VP of Retail Sales
  • Monitor retail industry trends and conduct competitor analysis when needed
  • Work with IRI Syndicated Data and Numerator Panel Data to provide valuable insights

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel and above-average PowerPoint skills
  • Analytical storytelling ability – translating data into actionable insights
  • Experience with customer reporting systems and sales tracking tools
  • Comfortable with ad hoc customer reporting and portal management
  • Familiarity with IRI Syndicated Data and Numerator Panel Data preferred
  • Proactive problem-solving approach
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
