The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is looking for part-time Greyhound Racing Leadouts to join our team at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. Racing Leadouts have the important role of handling and caring for the greyhounds in the paddock and while they are en route to the starting box.

What will you do?

• Lead dogs to the starting box
• Put the dogs in the starting box
• Make sure that when a dog falls or is injured that it is safely removed from the track or is going in the correct direction
• Perform weigh-ins
• Lead dogs back to the lockout kennel and in the correct crates

Physical requirements

• Lift and transport greyhounds daily over 70 lbs. for up to 100 yards
• Able to run or jog up to 100 yards 7 to 10 times per night
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
