Position Summary:

Provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the provision of patient care. Over seen by the assigned RN and Clinical coordinator. Reports to the Manager and Chief Nursing Officer.

Required Qualifications:

• Completed a minimum of 1 semester of clinical rotation and currently enrolled in a California Registered Nurse program.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the unit.
• Must speak, read and write English and communicate effectively. Current BLS/CPR.
• 1+ semesters in California Nursing School.
• Hospital Mandatory Education Requirements: Orientation, Environment of Care, OSHA, Infection Control, Abuse/ Neglect, and Ethics, Tuberculosis Screening.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
