Giant Center is a 10,500-seat multi-purpose arena, and hosts an impressive line-up of star-studded performances and events. Action-packed Hershey Bears hockey games, thrilling live entertainment, and one-of-a-kind events are a day in the life of our Hersheypark Entertainment Complex team members at Hersheypark, Giant Center, Hersheypark Stadium, or Hershey Theatre

This position works in a team environment with other Food & Beverage and Restaurant staff to ensure the smooth operation of the facilities and assist with washing utensils, pots and pans, plates, and other Food & Beverage equipment. The dishwasher will also properly store clean items and maintain clean and safe dish room areas. This position is primarily responsible for assisting at the GIANT Center in the main kitchen areas as well as at other Entertainment Complex locations.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Maintain cleanliness of the dish room, pot washing areas, and all other non-food storage areas by sweeping and mopping the coolers and kitchen area floors.

• Wash and sanitize all kitchen equipment, dishwashers, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.

• Remove trash and break down cardboard and boxes.

• Distribute and store products to their proper areas within predetermined time frames.

• Take requests from other team members and assist with receipt and delivery of stock from vendors.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred

• Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

Job Demands:

• Hours will vary according to event schedules, but will regularly include evenings, weekends, and holidays (hours may fluctuate between 8 and 25 hours per week based on event schedules)

• Physical requirements include standing (for periods up to 5 hours at a time), walking, bending and lifting up to 40 pounds without assistance

• Regular outside work in various weather conditions is required (including, hot, cold, rain, snow, and other inclement weather)

• This job is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.

• Employee must provide proper footwear (all black, non skid/non slip sneaker)
