About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Northeast Florida Chapter. This external-facing role is pivotal in community relations, with a focus on supporting mission capacity building, and strengthening relationships across all community elements. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving as the primary liaison to the community, managing a portfolio of strategic relationships, and ensuring the Red Cross's presence and contribution are well recognized. Key responsibilities include developing and managing the chapter board, leading community volunteer leaders, and influencing to create an environment of teamwork and inclusion. The role also involves serving as a member of the Elected Officials Liaison Network for disaster responses. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 7 years of related experience. The role requires strong communication, influencing, and public speaking skills, as well as the ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and sustaining community relationships and be proficient in MS Office. The Executive Director must be a team player, capable of working with diverse individuals, and be prepared for occasional travel and disaster response duties. A current valid driver's license and a good driving record are also necessary.
