JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in all phases of case preparation, including discovery and trial.
  • Compile, analyze and summarize data.
  • Prepare and maintain production logs, witness and records charts, databases, exhibits and summaries of case information.
  • Draft form discovery.
  • Perform case and file management including maintenance of file inventory, directing documents to appropriate files and subfiles, preparing paper and electronic documents for trial and closing files.
  • Maintain open communication with other case team members keeping them informed about the status of activities, due dates and tasks on each file.
  • Maintain generic files, inventories and databases associated with these files.
  • Attend and participate in CLE’s and other meetings.
  • Delegate non-billable tasks to legal secretary and other support staff, provide performance feedback and participate in annual review of legal secretary.
  • Perform special projects, tasks and other duties as assigned.
  • Oversee case file organization and data integrity
  • Maintain centralized data repositories for multi-plaintiff cases

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Top candidates will possess excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail. In addition, we are looking for the following qualities:

Skills and Computer Knowledge

  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Experience with OneNote is a plus
  • Well-developed customer service skills (internal and external)
  • Solid grammar and punctuation skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability and affinity for adapting with various personalities and work styles

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
  • Experience in a professional office setting required

  • 40-hour work week with core office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Flexibility with work from home and in-office days, after initial training phase
  • Ability to work overtime, if needed, to meet business and client needs
