Position Summary

The Associate Industrial Designer will support the design and development of ceiling fans as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team. This is a full-time position based in Memphis, TN, with a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate is creative, motivated, and eager to grow in a fast-paced product development environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop original and compelling ceiling fan design concepts under direction from the Lead Industrial Designer
• Translate market trends, consumer insights, and consumer behavior into thoughtful product solutions
• Create clear sketches, 3D CAD models, and renderings to effectively communicate design intent
• Contribute to team brainstorming sessions, collaborative critiques, and internal reviews
• Research materials, finishes, forms, and design trends to inform product development
• Collaborate with Engineering and Marketing to align design intent through development
• Perform other duties as assigned that contribute to the success of the design department and Hunter Fan Company
• Minimal travel expected

Education And Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or related field
• 0–3 years of experience in product design (internships/co-ops welcome; recent graduates encouraged to apply)

Special Qualifications Or Skills

• Portfolio that demonstrates strong design thinking, sketching, and 3D modeling
• 3D modeling skills required; proficiency in SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot, and/or CREO a plus
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
• Eagerness to learn and openness to constructive feedback
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range: 50,000.00+
