Job Description

Responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex Windows-based server environments. This includes managing Active Directory, group policy, network infrastructure, and virtualization technologies. The position often involves leading projects and providing expert technical guidance on system architecture, optimization, and security best practices within the organization. Candidates should have extensive experience with Windows Server operating systems, PowerShell scripting, and possess strong troubleshooting skills.

Required Skills & Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi), NetApp, PURE, and Azure SSO.
  • Extensive experience with Windows OS (all versions), VMware (all versions), AD, and DNS.
  • Familiarity with Fiber/NAS storage, Monitoring tools Manage Engine AD365 suite, Veeam, and backup solutions.
  • Extensive experience in Windows PowerShell Scripting.
  • Strong skills in scripting (PowerShell/Batch) and Azure PAAS infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, compliance standards, and security principles.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Server OS, Active Directory, and M365/Azure/Proofpoint administration.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for all Windows OS, VMware, and Converged infrastructure like NetApp PURE, Nutanix, Internal DNS, DHCP, MS PKI, and public PKI infra.
  • Demonstrates proficiency and leadership in solution architecture, design, development, test, configuration, deployment, and maintenance as it relates to their area of expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Citrix, VMware) are a plus.
  • Ability to commute travel on short notice to other Mediacom sites.
  • Provide critical off-hours and weekend infrastructure support as needed.
  • Knowledge of Immutable Storage a plus.
