Job Description

In this position the VP of Finance/CFO with provides regulatory oversight for financial reporting and accounting to ensure operations are compliant and responsive to operational or regulatory changes. This is a hands-on leader and team player role dedicated to the goals of the Finance organization and Company. Ultimately responsible for the financial statements of the Company, they will monitor and adjust policies and procedures in accordance with business changes to ensure that financial statements are accurate and timely. With both short-term and long-term focus, this individual understands the business and partners with other departments and executive management to model the impact of operational results, strategic decisions, potential transactions, or economic assumptions. Responsibilities i nclude, but not limited to Collaborates with senior leaders to understand business needs, develop strategies, and ensure financial goals support business objectives. Develop then maintain a FP&A and Treasury functions within the organization. Reviews and approves budgets and forecasts to ensure resources and efforts align with the organization's mission. Evaluates and improves financial modeling and analytical tools to measure and forecast the impact of various economic scenarios, risks, and business changes. Identifies and oversees funding through debt, equity, and various financial instruments to support business operations, optimize cash flow, and manage risk. Presents budget data to senior management and/or board. Build and maintain key relationships with outside parties, including banking, investing, and other vendors. Designing, implementing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls to ensure accuracy of the results. Collaborates with internal leaders on any items that require financial perspective and/or create financial exposure, including company stock programs (ESOP), insurance/risk programs, and other insurance programs. Participate in special projects including software upgrades and process improvements. Provide financial deliverables associated with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Collaborate with other departments to support company initiatives. Standardize and review WIP and other project status reports. Add value regarding construction contracts and subcontracts. Coach and develop staff. Carry out job duties while maintaining the Supreme values. And other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance. Past or current CPA license. Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls. 10+ years total experience in Finance/Accounting roles. 4+ years working in a financial role in the construction industry. 2+ years of experience managing teams of 2 or more direct reports Must have experience developing and/or managing a sophisticated set of standards for Project Controls / Construction Job Cost. Experience selecting and implementing new ERP systems Experience managing and maintaining ERP system. Experience with M&A. Highly analytical & organized individual accustomed to managing multiple priorities; detail-oriented. Highly capable in MS Excel. Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have excellent team building & motivational skills. Problem solving and analytical skills. Highly Desired Experience or Qualifications Experience supporting an ESOP and related valuation processes 2+ years in a large public accounting firm. Experience working in “big 4” accounting firm.
