About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Accounting - Segment Controller to lead and oversee all accounting operations for its North American segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and building a high-performing finance and accounting team. This role involves creating a culture of process excellence, driving systematic process improvement, and automation to enhance the reliability and accuracy of financial reporting. The VP - Controller will also be a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making, and will be expected to assess financial risks and opportunities, and develop risk mitigation strategies. Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with an MBA or CPA preferred. A minimum of 10 years' of experience in audit and accounting, with at least 5 years' in a senior leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of GAAP, international accounting consolidation, and financial reporting standards, and experience in a manufacturing, multi-business unit environment. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams. The role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in relationship management and the ability to manage resources effectively to meet organizational goals.
