A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A VETERINARY TECHNICIAN - VET ASSISTANT:
As our Veterinary Technician - Vet Assistant, your day is as dynamic as the animals we care for. You'll assist with surgeries by preparing patients, placing IVs, and supporting our doctors during procedures. You'll take X-rays, place catheters, and perform venipuncture with ease. When you're not helping in the treatment area, you'll engage with clients, answering questions, providing health tips, and educating pet owners on preventative care. You'll also contribute to front desk operations by scheduling appointments and maintaining health records. In between patient care, you'll help ensure the clinic remains clean, safe, and welcoming-feeding pets, cleaning enclosures, and even taking them for walks when needed. Every day brings a new challenge, and you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional care to both our patients and their families!
You'll work 36 - 40 hours per week , with no weekends ! Our clinic is open:
WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
We'd prefer a candidate with at least one year of surgical assisting experience, but we will train the right person! Experience taking X-rays, performing dental prophylaxis, or using Shepherd software would be a bonus.
