Animal Clinic\nof Rapid City, SD is looking for an Associate Veterinarian. We are interested\nin speaking with new grads (Mentorship provided), internship trained, or\nexperienced DVMs.                                                                                                  

We\nare a progressive 8 Doctor Practice that has a team based approach to medicine\nand mentorship. We believe in providing high quality compassionate care to our\npatients and enjoy a collaborative and positive work environment with our\npatient’s wellbeing in mind.

Our\nschedule encourages a healthy work life balance with doctors working 3-4 shifts\nper week, rotating weekends and evenings. We offer an attractive compensation,\nand benefits package.

OUR HOSPITAL

We have recently moved into a brand new facility! 

Our hospital has 10 exam rooms, 2 comfort rooms with outdoor\naccess, two well equipped small animal surgery suites, a dental suite with 2\ndental tables, a large treatment area with an ICU for our hospital patients,\nseparate dog and cat housing areas in the hospital, a large oxygen cage.

Our Idexx\nin-house lab is state of the art making our diagnostic capabilities second to\nnone. Our hospital uses digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, endoscopy,\nultrasound, orthopedic equipment, gas anesthesia and all our patients are\nmonitored with - pulse ox, EKG, blood pressure.

THE AREA

We\nare located in the Black Hills of South Dakota, close to Mount Rushmore. The\narea is known for hiking, camping, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, water\nskiing, rock climbing, ice climbing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, snowmobiling,\ntrail riding and rodeo.  If you enjoy the outdoors you will love it here!!\n

Rapid City has\na population of 70,000 with the surrounding area of about 130,000 and is\nrapidly growing.  

The area offers wonderful affordable places to live and\nenjoy the outdoors, with a low crime rate, great schools, numerous churches,\nexcellent community events such as: concerts, symphonies, theater, movie\ntheaters, horse shows, city league sports, great fitness centers and yoga\nstudios.  We have college sporting events, and a semi pro hockey team.
