Commercial Truck Driver _ Class A or B_ Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator

Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Department: Industrial Services Division

Reports to: Supervisor / Project Manager / Operations Manager.

Summary/Objective:


The Vacuum Truck Operator will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials and vacuum truck operations. The Vacuum Operator/CDL Driver will be responsible for driving and operating efficiently and safely all power equipment and vehicles in accordance with DOT laws and regulations

Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up all necessary equipment in accordance with operation training and guidelines and safety procedures.
• Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings.
• Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment.
• Assist in general maintenance of company equipment, service, grease, etc.
• Wash and clean company equipment - Pressure wash, clean cabs, etc.
• General housekeeping - sweeping floors, taking out trash, and helping keep work areas clean and organized.
• Help with future job load outs or unloads from previous jobs - Return equipment and PPE back to designated areas.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 years' experience behind an 18-wheeler.
• Must possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Must possess a valid TWIC card or be able to obtain one.
• Must have a TANKER endorsement.
• Must have no AUTO restrictions. Must be legally allowed to operate a manual shift truck.
• Must be capable of passing an MVR (motor vehicle report) background check.
• Must be able to pass a hair follicle and urine drug screen.
• Must possess a Medical Examiner's Certificate or be able to obtain one.
• Must be capable of passing a personal background check.
• Commercial Driver - Pneumatic / Vacuum Operator run under the FMCSA 70-hour rule.
• Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
• Willing to respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week as needed.
• Willing to perform all required job duties in accordance with training.
• Willing to perform all required job duties in accordance with standard operating procedures. (SOP)
• Willing to understand and follow all given directions.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
• Physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Physically capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods of time.
• Physically capable of climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, and kneeling as needed.
• Physically capable of working in all inclement weather conditions.

Pay Range: $22.50 - $28.50 per hour
