Job Description

We are looking for an experienced home inspector to join our growing team! Youll inspect our short?term Vacation Rental properties, flag any damage for repairs, and compile your findings into a detailed report. Candidates with strong organizational skills and a love for detailed work will thrive in this position. You will also spend time in the office booking and processing reservations, and keeping the website updated with property details. This is a fast?paced, dynamic position with room for growth and a full?time position that may include some on?call hours. Responsibilities


  • Compile and organize inspection results into a report that will give all parties a clear understanding of any potential issues that were identified.
  • Provide a description of suggested repairs, along with a range of potential costs associated with those repairs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vacation rental properties to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Identify and document any maintenance issues or damages, and communicate these findings promptly to the property management team.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports that are clear, concise, and actionable, helping us maintain our reputation for excellence.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance vendors to prioritize repairs and ensure timely resolution of any issues identified during inspections.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and local regulations to ensure our properties remain compliant and competitive.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving our inspection processes, contributing to our culture of continuous improvement.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills are a must.
  • 1+ year of previous work experience conducting home inspections or working in construction field.
  • Valid drivers license and able to travel by car.
  • Familiar with basic computer software and use of email technology.
  • Strong multitasking skills and organizational skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of basic home systems including plumbing, HVAC units, electrical, and security alarms.
  • Experience in conducting property inspections, with a focus on vacation rentals, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
  • Ability to compile detailed and organized inspection reports that clearly communicate findings and suggested repairs.
  • Proven track record of identifying maintenance issues and damages, with prompt communication to property management teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple inspections and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with maintenance vendors and facilitate timely resolution of issues.



Compensation

$55,000 - $69,000 per year
