Job Details

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Job Requirements

• Must have current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start.
• Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter.
• Completion of Ascension Color Vision prior to start and updated every 3 years.
• Completion of Ascension Core Competencies within a year of start and updated yearly.
• Completion of Ascension EKG Exam prior to start.
• Completion of Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation prior to start.
• Completion of Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding prior to start.
• Completion of Ascension Nova StatStrip prior to start.
• Completion of Ascension Epic Test-Out prior to start.
• Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, Fit Test, Positive PPD or IGRA, Health Statement.
• Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually.
• Completion of Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
• Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
• Qualifying professional references prior to first assignment.
• Completion of criminal background checks and employment verifications as required.

Schedule Information

• Contract length is 13 weeks.
