Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN First Assist with a current ME or compact RN license to work day shifts with perioperative experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the operating room performing circulating, scrubbing, and first assist duties
• Day shift schedule
• May be required to work in the recovery room as needed
• Patient care is perioperative in nature involving surgical procedures
• Responsible for delivering safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care in the OR
• Must be able to communicate effectively with the perioperative team
• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and supports organizational values
• No COVID-19 vaccination requirement noted
• First time travelers will be considered

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active ME or compact RN license required
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 1 year of perioperative nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (ACLS may be obtained within 6 months of hire, PALS within 12 months)
• Basic computer skills required
• CNOR certification preferred
