Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to join our healthcare team at a local Allergy & ENT office in Columbia, SC. This temporary-to-hire opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience scheduling surgeries and procedures in a fast-paced medical environment. The Surgery Scheduler will coordinate patient appointments, ensure accurate documentation, and support smooth communication between patients, providers, and surgical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Schedule surgeries, procedures, and pre-operative appointments accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with patients, surgeons, and clinical staff regarding schedules and required documentation.
- Verify insurance coverage and pre-authorization requirements for surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate records in scheduling systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure seamless surgical workflow.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years recent experience scheduling surgeries or medical procedures.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, surgical workflows, and insurance requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR or scheduling software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
