Senior Data Scientist - Product

Fully Remote

Comp: 180K-225K Base Salary

We're looking for a bold and entrepreneurial Senior Data Scientist to join a high-impact team focused on growth and search optimization. In this role, you'll drive core product initiatives like search relevance, personalization, and onboarding funnels, directly influencing user experience and company growth.

You'll work on a small, agile team reporting directly to company leadership, with immediate ownership of key projects. From building ranking algorithms and next-best-action models to deploying deep learning solutions in production, you'll shape the roadmap for search and lodging at scale. This is a high-autonomy role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and wants to help build innovative systems from the ground up.

What You'll Do:

• Own and lead search-related product initiatives end-to-end
• Build and deploy deep learning models (e.g., ranking, personalization)
• Identify and execute high-ROI growth levers across the user funnel
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, and Analytics
• Mentor junior talent and help scale the data science function
• Contribute to the team roadmap and help define technical direction

What You'll Bring:

• Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn), SQL, and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch Lightning preferred)
• Experience deploying ML models to production, ideally in partnership with engineering teams
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred) and Airflow for ML pipelines
• Background in ranking systems, personalization, or recommendation engines (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to operate independently in ambiguous settings
• Track record of impact in high-growth tech startups or similar fast-paced environments
