We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sewer and Drain Technician with hands-on experience in drain cleaning , camera inspection , and sewer line repair . The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing residential and commercial drain and sewer systems using a variety of tools and equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform drain cleaning using mechanical snakes, hydro jetters, and other industry-standard equipment.
  • Conduct video camera inspections of sewer and drain lines to diagnose blockages, breaks, or deterioration.
  • Accurately locate and mark underground sewer lines using locating equipment.
  • Perform sewer line repairs , including spot repairs, pipe replacements, and trenchless methods (where applicable).
  • Document findings, recommendations, and completed work clearly and accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining findings and solutions to clients in a clear, professional manner.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in clean and working condition.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, local codes, and company policies.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service requests as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum [1-3+] years of experience in sewer and drain service.
  • Proficient in using augers, jetters, sewer cameras, and locating equipment.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing and drainage systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret sewer line blueprints and diagrams.
  • Valid [state] driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces or outdoor conditions.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Plumbing license or certifications (preferred but not required).

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with trenchless repair methods (e.g., pipe bursting, lining).
  • Knowledge of local plumbing codes and EPA regulations.
  • Basic mechanical and hand tool proficiency.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
