Senior Business Analyst

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Applied Resource Group is proud to partner with a premier insurance provider in Atlanta to identify a Senior Business Analyst to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives on solving complex problems, optimizing business processes, and bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Elicitation & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to gather, define, and document detailed requirements across functional areas.
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to drive clarity and consensus.

Data-Driven Insights & Decision Support

• Analyze large and complex data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Deliver clear, impactful visualizations and dashboards to support executive decision-making.

Process Optimization & Strategic Analysis

• Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities in current business processes and systems.
• Recommend scalable and sustainable solutions to enhance operational performance.

Documentation & Communication

• Produce clear, well-structured documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specs, user stories, and process maps.
• Translate business needs into technical language for development and QA teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure alignment of objectives and smooth execution of projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, developers, and QA analysts throughout the SDLC.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Design and execute UAT test plans, validate system functionality, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Identify and track defects or gaps, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.

Reporting & KPI Monitoring

• Develop recurring and ad-hoc reports to measure project performance and operational health.
• Present findings and recommendations to business leaders and project sponsors.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a proven ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) , PMI-PBA , or Agile BA .
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Guidewire, or other insurance core systems.
