Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated social worker specializing in school environments. This role is set in Stamford, CT, within a high school setting, focusing on providing essential support and services to students.

Qualifications:

• Master of Social Work (MSW) degree
• Valid Connecticut Social Work Certificate
• Successful completion of a CT background check
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and families
• Knowledge of student mental health issues and resources

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing a range of social, emotional, and academic issues
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement supportive strategies
• Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans
• Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
• Organize and lead workshops and training sessions on social-emotional learning
• Advocate for student needs within the school and community resources
