Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg - PRN at Haywood Regional Medical Center summary:

Registered Nurse (RN) in a Medical Surgical unit providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospital setting. Responsible for assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring comfort and safety with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:6. The role requires collaboration with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care and support patient wellbeing.

Commitment Bonus (2-Year) : $15 ,000 for Day Shift , $20,000 for Night Shift

Shift Differentials:   Evening $2.50/hour / Night $4.00/hour / Weekend $1.50/hour

 

Department/Unit Summary

Join our team in a 39-bed Medical Surgical unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). With a 1:6 nurse to patient ratio, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Qualifications:

Qualifications and requirements Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program required with a current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in North Carolina or from a Compact State.

Additional requirements include:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days of hire .
  • AHA ACLS and AHA PALS are required within six months of hire . 
  • Handle With Care within 90 days of hire 
  • One year of experience preferred
