I’m representing a leading consultancy that’s looking to strengthen their Water Resources team with an experienced Project Manager in Water Resources based in Houston .

This role is ideal for someone who is interested in complex hydrology & hydraulics work and wants to lead advanced design, modelling, and project delivery across major stormwater, flood, and drainage programmes in the region.

Job Specifications:

Lead engineering design and technical delivery across water resources projects, including:

• Hydrologic & hydraulic modelling (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS)

• Stormwater systems, watershed management & drainage master planning

• Floodplain assessments, mitigation studies, NFIP permitting & map revisions

• Bridge & culvert design, surface water conveyance, and resilience-focused infrastructure

• Development of detailed plans, specifications, calculations, cost estimates & technical reports

• Support permitting packages and construction documentation across full project lifecycle

Additional responsibilities include:

• QA/QC reviews and technical oversight on complex projects

• Coordination with clients, regulators, and multi-disciplinary teams

• Mentoring junior staff and supporting internal technical development

• Contributing to proposals, presentations, and wider project delivery strategy

• Helping drive strong project performance across budget, schedule, and quality metrics

Key Requirements:

• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering

• PE licence in Texas

• 10+ years’ experience in water resources engineering

• Strong background in H&H modelling, stormwater management, or dam safety

• Experience working with TxDOT and/or Harris County Flood Control District

• Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and ArcGIS

• Ability to produce engineering drawings and lead complex design tasks

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills

• Experience managing staff and leading project tasks
