JOB DESCRIPTION

** PART TIME AND FULL TIME POSITIONS

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  The Infant and Toddler Teacher assists in implementing the curriculum , working with parents, and assessing the needs of individual children.
• 
  Assist in establishing and maintaining an environment for children which is clean, safe, and appropriate for each childs developmental level
• 
  Help manage classroom through positive feedback, encouragement, and re-direction
• 
  Plan and implement hands-on activities that develop self-esteem
• 
  View parent - teacher relationship as a partnership, focusing on each childs individual strengths and abilities

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• 
  High school diploma
• 
  At least 18 years of age and be able to model the Lead Teacher
• 
  Open to enrolling in course work in child development, child family, community, curriculum, and infant care if not already completed.
• 
  A warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others and must be able to relate well with children
• 
  Willing to fulfill the responsibilities in accordance with the Churchs educational philosophy
• 
  Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit as evidence of a growing Christ-centered life (Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 5:18-21)
• 
  Be teachable and faithful in learning from and following those in authority over him/her and fully supporting the vision of Crossline Church.
• 
  Fulfill the duties required of Crossline Church members as outlined in the membership covenant.
• 
  Philosophical alignment with church leadership
• 
  Committed to continued development
  
• Clear Live Scan and Criminal Background
• 24 units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development minimum, AA or BA preferred
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification
• Record of immunizations: current TB test clearance, MMR, DTaP, annual influenza
• Hours may vary as needed; center open from 7am-6pm
  
• Additionally, all Church Staff Members:
• Love Jesus and call themselves Christians.
• Embrace a high biblical standard of personal conduct and lifestyle.
• Agree to and adhere to the church's statement of faith and leadership commitment.
• Attend Crossline Community Church
  

Reports to: Preschool Director

Schedule: Monday Friday. Hours vary
Hours: Varies

Status: Part-time, Full-time, at-will, hourly employee, non-exempt
