Our client is an industry leader offering an exciting opportunity for a Preconstruction Manager to play a key role in delivering exceptional projects. In this position, you will lead the preconstruction phase, managing RFPs, estimates, design, BIM, procurement, budgeting, and client relations. This remote role is ideal for a skilled professional passionate about exceeding client expectations and contributing to cutting-edge projects.

  • Responsibilities: Provide conceptual budgeting tools to support Business Development efforts.
  • Coordinate and lead the estimating process, including document reviews and bid reviews.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships.
  • Assist in contract review and risk management for preconstruction activities.
  • Identify and price cost impacts, value engineering exercises, and client-requested changes.
  • Act as the project manager during preconstruction, overseeing design coordination, material releases, and construction budget management.
  • Train and mentor team members, delegating tasks effectively.
  • Ensure accuracy in deliverables and lead estimate reviews.
  • Collaborate with consultants, subcontractor partners, and clients to coordinate design activities.
  • Guide project managers to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements.

  • Must-Have Skills: Experience in electrical contracting and MEP coordination.
  • Proficiency in electrical estimating and project budgeting.
  • Knowledge of ConEst, Google Workplace, Excel, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience managing design-build projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and train team members effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, including confidence in project interviews.

  • Nice-to-Have Skills: Five or more years of experience as an electrical project manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering.
  • Familiarity with advanced BIM coordination tools.
  • Experience working in the Data Center Construction sector.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and innovative preconstruction strategies.
