Job Description

Political Coordinator

The Political Department sits at the heart of our campaign’s outreach and visibility strategy. We are responsible for building meaningful relationships with elected officials, advocacy organizations, community groups, and grassroots leaders across Georgia. Our mission is to connect the values of this campaign to the people and institutions driving change in every corner of the state.

We work to ensure that Senator Ossoff’s message is present, even when he cannot be, by activating trusted surrogates, engaging coalition partners, elevating community voices, and creating opportunities for real connection. Whether we are casting a campaign commercial, staffing a local parade, showing support at a community event, or organizing a round table with community leaders, the Political Department ensures the campaign is seen, heard, and trusted where it matters most.

We are relationship builders, messengers, and organizers committed to helping this campaign meet the moment with integrity, reach, and impact.

The Political Coordinator is responsible for keeping the Political Department organized, responsive, and aligned with campaign operations. This is an internal-facing role focused on department infrastructure, data management, political scheduling support, and coordination across departments.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, systems-minded, and comfortable managing detailed workflows. The Coordinator will work closely with the Political Director to ensure all outreach, event planning, and stakeholder management are executed efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative support to the Political Director and manage the Political Department’s fellows program assigning tasks as needed.
  • Build and maintain internal documents including one-pagers, validator decks, and department standard operating procedures.
  • Draft internal memos, meeting recaps, and email follow-ups on behalf of the Political Director.
  • Monitor political intake forms and inboxes, campaign requests, and support the triage of campaign asks, event invitations, and surrogate requests.
  • Maintain and update all department tracking systems, including G-Suite, VoteBuilder, NGP, and campaign databases.
  • Ensure political data hygiene and consistency in collaboration with other department coordinators and assistants.
  • Track and log all political meetings, invitations, and follow-ups to maintain relationship continuity.
  • Prepare briefing materials and coordinate scheduling and logistics for political events and engagements.
  • Identify and flag gaps in internal systems or processes to help keep the department running efficiently.

Requirements

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • You must have the ability to travel throughout the state as necessary.
  • 1-3 years of experience in political campaigns, government, or mission-driven operations; experience in scheduling, political operations, or interdepartmental coordination preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex tracking systems.
  • Proficient with Google suite and campaign platforms such as NGP, VoteBuilder, and Mobilizer (or ability to learn quickly).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft memos, recaps, and email correspondence.
  • High political judgment and professional discretion when handling sensitive information and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to manage up, anticipate needs, and keep leadership informed and prepared.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative and self-directed; able to work independently and as part of a high-functioning campaign team.
  • Commitment to the mission of the campaign and to building a campaign culture rooted in equity, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed based on event and engagement schedules.
  • Georgia ties strongly preferred.

Benefits

  • $5,500-6000/Monthly
  • This position will come with benefits, including dental, vision and health insurance.
