Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Pipe Layers for projects located in Winfield, MO . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $48/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Assembling and connecting pipe systems for water mains sewers and drains
• Set up and operate pipe laser to maintain proper alignment and grade
• Grade trench bottoms manually or using compact equipment
• Install and connect various types of ground pipe RCP, PVC, DIP
• Understand and assist with pipe pressure and deflection testing procedures
• Backfill trenches in accordance with specifications and compaction standards
• Install erosion control measures such as silt fence and inlet protection
• Operate small equipment such as compactors trench rollers and skid steers
• Follow safety protocols and communicate effectively with crew members

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of pipe laying techniques, materials and installation methods
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to perform manual labor lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Precision in measurements, cuts and joint assembly to ensure proper pipe installation
• Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the installation process
• Effective verbal communication for coordinating with team members and following instructions
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices related to excavation trenching and equipment operation
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have basic tools and standard PPE
• Must be able to pass a background check
