Patent Litigation Attorney Patent Litigation Associate - Life Sciences Focus

Location: New York, NY or Washington, DC (Hybrid Option Available)

Salary Range: $250,000-$350,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Experience: minimum 3+ years of Patent Litigation experience and preferably a background in Life Sciences.

About the Role

One of our top clients in the Patent Litigation space is seeking a dynamic and driven Patent Litigation Associate (ideally a 3rd to 7th year) to join our Life Sciences or elite team in either our New York or Washington, DC office. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-stakes patent litigation matters at the intersection of law and cutting-edge science.

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Admission and good standing with the relevant jurisdiction's bar
• Minimum 3+ years of patent litigation experience in a law firm setting
• Background in life sciences or a technical/scientific discipline
• Preferably Patent Trial experience and experience with trade secrets
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset
• Interest in working with technology and life sciences companies

Responsibilities

• Handle complex patent litigation matters from inception through trial
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and expert witnesses
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and manage discovery
• Engage directly with clients in the life sciences and tech sectors

Work Environment

• On-site at our New York City or Washington, DC office
• Hybrid flexibility: up to two remote workdays per week

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary range: $250,000-$385,000
