Registered Nurse (RN) – Dermatology | McLean & Potomac Dermatology and Skincare Center
Location: McLean, VA
Schedule: Part-Time | Includes Saturday Hours
Commitment: Two-Year Commitment Required
Are you a passionate, detail-oriented nurse looking to expand your clinical skills in a thriving dermatology practice?
McLean & Potomac Dermatology and Skincare Center is growing, and we're looking for an exceptional Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. Our practice offers comprehensive care in adult and pediatric dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and skin cancer surgery. We are known for providing compassionate, high-quality care — and our nurses play a vital role in that mission.
Why Join Us:
Expand your clinical experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology
Collaborate closely with expert dermatologists and a supportive team
Work in a fully digital environment – we're 100% electronic and Mac-based
Gain hands-on training in advanced dermatologic procedures and technologies
Continuous learning with mentorship and growth opportunities
About the Role:
This is a part-time position that includes some Saturday hours and requires a two-year commitment. The role involves both clinical and administrative duties — including direct patient care, assisting with procedures, and scribing during visits.
This is not a cosmetic injector role. However, you will gain exposure to aesthetic treatments and technologies through patient care and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist providers during dermatologic procedures (biopsies, excisions, laser treatments, etc.)
Accompany providers during patient visits to document in electronic health records (EHR)
Conduct patient interviews and maintain accurate health histories
Perform clinical tasks such as blood draws, wound care, suture removals, IV therapy, and post-op care
Educate patients on treatments and home care instructions
Assist with non-invasive cosmetic treatments (CoolSculpting, laser therapies, skin tightening – training provided)
Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical quality standards
Support clinical team management and staff training
What We're Looking For:
Current RN license in good standing
2–4 years of RN experience in a hospital setting (ER or ICU experience preferred)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment
Advanced proficiency with Mac computers and iPads (our EHR is entirely digital)
Dermatology or procedural experience is a plus — but not required; we provide extensive training
Ready to Apply?
If you're an experienced RN who's motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow in dermatology, we want to meet you.
