Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Muskogee is a long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital specializing in the treatment of patients recovering from post-intensive care and medically complex conditions. Our hospital provides both intensive care and telemetry-level services, offering advanced monitoring and support for patients requiring extended medical care. With a multidisciplinary team dedicated to personalized treatment plans, we focus on helping patients achieve significant recovery and transition to the next level of care.

How you'll contribute

At Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals, patients receive acute care from a physician-led care team specializing in treating patients with complex conditions. Our attending physicians see their patients every day, and physicians with specialties in pulmonology, cardiology, infectious disease, and general surgery may also participate in your care. Our nurses are also experienced in treating complex conditions, and all nurses in high-acuity units are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Additionally, patients with serious respiratory illnesses have 24/7 access to a respiratory therapist.

What we're looking for

A compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. Under the direct supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and in accordance with physician direction, the COTA will deliver high-quality, individualized occupational therapy treatments to adult and geriatric patients recovering from illness or injury. This role involves implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with healthcare staff to promote optimal recovery. The ideal candidate is licensed/certified in the state, holds current BLS/CPR certification, and preferably has prior patient care experience.   • Current state licensure/certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

  • Current Basic Life Support Certifications through American Heart Association

  • Experience in patient care preferred
