The YMCA is seeking a Marketing Assistant responsible for assisting the Marketing & Communications team in implementing digital and social media marketing strategies for the recruitment and retention of members, program participants and employees.

Responsibilities
  • Assists the Marketing Team with social media posts, events and scheduling of content
  • Coordinates relevant trending content while adhering to the YMCA's Brand Standards
  • Assists in the creation and placement of social media ads in accordance with the advertising calendar
  • Submits event information to community calendars
  • Assists with the creation and management of email templates, works with departments on email/template needs
  • Takes photographs/video of events, programs, and other marketing needs
  • 2-year degree or pursuit of a degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Writing, or a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of directly related experience, training and/or education
Qualifications
  • 2-year degree or pursuit of a degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Writing, or a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of related experience, training and/or education
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Prefer a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Strong graphic design skills required, including experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with basic video editing, website and social media management
