JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled Los Angeles/Orange County-based Lighting Designer with extensive project management experience for a local project. You will lead technical production, oversee all project documentation (including drawings, budgets, and schedules), and ensure projects stay on track. This role demands a creative professional with proven project management skills in architectural lighting. You will coordinate with various key players and provide design guidance under senior leadership. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree required in Interior Design, Architecture, or Lighting Design
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Architectural Lighting Design or equivalent
• Minimum 3+ years of project management experience, specifically in lighting design
• AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Revu Bluebeam, Agi32 or other light modelling software, COMCheck or other energy compliancy software
• Familiarity with ASHRAE/IES 90.1 Standards, IES Standards and Guidelines and LEED Standards relative to Lighting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Hand drawing skills are a plus
• Must be fluent in written and spoken English
• Must be local to the greater Los Angeles and Orange County area
• Background check is required

SALARY RANGE: This is a fixed-term contract (6+ months). $50-55/hour.
