Job Title: Professional Licensed Surveyor
Location: Columbus, OH
Job Type: Full-Time

Eastern Sierra Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented  Professional Licensed Surveyor to join our growing team in Columbus, OH. In this role, you will be an integral part of delivering accurate survey data that ensures the success of a wide range of projects. You’ll conduct field surveys, analyze data, and prepare professional deliverables while collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys using total stations, GPS receivers, levels, and related equipment to determine precise locations, boundaries, and site features.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret survey data to create accurate maps, plats, and legal descriptions.
  • Research property deeds, plats, maps, and other records to establish and confirm property boundaries.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to plan and coordinate survey activities.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, accurate survey reports, drawings, and legal descriptions.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and ensure proper functioning of survey equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with property owners, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Consistently follow safety standards and company policies.

Requirements

  • Active  Professional Surveyor (PS) license in Ohio .
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with AutoCAD.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Field survey experience, preferably in Columbus or surrounding areas.
  • Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, practices, and equipment.
  • Proficiency with surveying software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
