Join our Health Sciences Spearhead as our new ecologist or biodiversity specialist and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future. Our biodiversity and ecology team supports clients with a wide range of environmental issues including biodiversity and ecosystem services, nature-based solutions, risk and impact assessment, natural resources economics, and ecological data science. This job will require travel to field sites, conferences, and internal meetings. Travel may be national or international and may be up to 15% of time. Your new role Your key tasks and responsibilities will include: Gathering, harmonizing, and analyzing different types of data from multiple sources Implementing various types of statistical models and generating figures and tables Writing of reports, white papers, and peer-review manuscripts Planning environmental sampling and monitoring studies and collecting field data and overseeing data collection Presenting results to clients and stakeholders About you M.S., Ph.D., or equivalent consulting experience in a discipline relevant to ecology and biodiversity such as terrestrial or marine ecology, wildlife or restoration ecology, forestry, environmental science, natural resources economics, or bioinformatics. 2+ years of ecological or related experience (graduate work accepted). Experience with environmental or ecological data science and statistics. Excellent written communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annualbase salary between $87,000 - $100,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, includingexperience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training andskill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
