The Position:

We're looking for a Law Clerk – 3L to join our San Diego, CA-based legal team. This part-time position offers a hybrid work model, with occasional on-site work required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prepare diverse legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, and correspondence.
• Analyze and summarize legal records.
• Coordinate with experts and witnesses for scheduling appearances, depositions, and document retrieval.
• Compile discovery response summaries and create standard discovery motions.
• Conduct legal research as needed.
• Support attorneys in deposition and trial preparation.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with court staff, legal professionals, clients, and witnesses
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent time management and multitasking capabilities
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to develop efficient work methods
• Hands-on experience with various computer applications, including word processing software, legal databases, and spreadsheets
• Current third-year law student required

This part-time position (25 hours or less per week) pays $33.00 per hour.
