Maintenance Position

Summary of the Position: Being of service to maintain a clean, safe and well-groomed facility for all guests and team members and to assist with projects both interior and exterior of the building.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of facility.
2. Communicates effectively with team members to efficiently complete projects.
3. Maintains cleanliness of tables, surrounding chairs, floors, restrooms, windows and other areas of the building.
4. Maintains exterior of building, both cleanliness and safety.
5. Maintains a timely execution of duties and remains positive and self-motivated when tasked with new duties.
6. Notifying management of occurring deficiencies, needs and repairs
7. Assist team in upkeep of restrooms.
8. Assists other service personnel as needed.
9. Performs all duties in accordance with the Family of Companies and Pelican customer service standard and exemplifies Core Values in their job duties.
10. Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Pelican menu items, events, community involvement.

Requirements:

• General knowledge of customer service standards
• Physical endurance to handle heavy machinery and to complete tasks
• Positive and self-motivated
• Able to complete tasks independently
• Ability to communicate with team members regarding health, safety or cleanliness concerns
