Glass Fabricator & Installer Opportunity

As a Glass Fabricator & Installer , you will be responsible for precision cutting, shaping, and installing glass and its framing structures. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent measuring skills, and the ability to work both in a shop setting and on-site installations. You will be trained to read blueprints, cut and shape glass to exact specifications, and travel to job sites to install framing and glass. While prior experience in glass fabrication or steel framing is preferred, individuals with strong carpentry and precise measuring skills can be trained for this role.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints to accurately measure, cut, and shape glass.
• Work with specialized tools to cut, grind, and finish glass edges to precise dimensions.
• Learn and perform glass framing installation, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
• Travel to job sites to assist in frame installation and glass mounting.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Handle and transport glass carefully to prevent damage.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures while working with glass and framing materials.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and with high quality.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience in glass fabrication, steel framing, or glazing is a plus but not required.
• Strong carpentry skills and the ability to work with precise measurements.
• Must be comfortable using tools and equipment for cutting, shaping, and installing glass.
• Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn.
• Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) required, as some travel is involved.
• Must be able to lift and handle glass panels safely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Pay: Based on experience, starting between $15.00 - $18.00 per hour.
• Schedule: Monday Friday (Typical work hours).
• Travel: Required but rarely overnight or long-distance.
