Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Service Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our fleet maintenance shop. This role involves supervising technicians, managing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that repairs are completed safely and efficiently. The position also includes budgetary responsibilities, vendor coordination, and the use of fleet management software. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical knowledge, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage staff by planning, prioritizing, and assigning work to a team of technicians, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and safe manner.
• Oversee all preventive maintenance and repair work on vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage the budget for the shop, including P&L responsibility, and control costs effectively.
• Coordinate with internal and external vendors for repairs, parts, and new equipment purchases.
• Utilize fleet management software to schedule maintenance, track costs, and analyze performance data.
• Ensure all maintenance and repairs adhere to company and governmental safety regulations.

Essential Skills

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in maintenance or fleet management, with proven experience in a supervisory or management role.
• A high school diploma or equivalent, with some positions preferring an associate's degree or vocational certification.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and associated technology. Experience with diesel and alternative fuel equipment may be preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with budgeting, P&L management, and data analysis.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• A valid driver's license.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily in a shop and garage setting, with a workstation that overlooks the garage. The typical shift is from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
