Experienced Water Well Pump Installer
We are seeking a highly skilled Water-Well Pump Installer to lead a 2-to-3-person crew in the installation and rehabilitation of large-diameter submersible and line-shaft pumps. This is a full-time, year-round position with no seasonal layoffs and consistent hours.
You'll work with Smeal Pump Rigs (12T-R36) and Stinger Cranes on projects for municipalities, industrial clients, and large-scale irrigation systems across the Midwest.
Responsibilities
Lead pump installation and well rehabilitation crews
Operate Smeal pump rigs, cranes, and service trucks with cranes
Travel to job sites across WI, IL, IA, MN, and MI - home on weekends
Perform mechanical, electrical, and piping work
Work in all weather conditions
Maintain safety and quality standards on-site
Compensation
Starting Pay: $34.00-$41.50/hour (based on experience and CDL)
First-Year Earnings: $110,000-$130,000+
Overtime: 8-10 hours/week
Prevailing Wage Projects significantly increase hourly rates
Paid Travel to Jobs, Individual Hotel Rooms with Per Diem

Qualifications
2-5 years' experience operating Smeal or similar pump rigs
CDL Class A (or ability to obtain-MWP will cover costs)
Crane certification and Licensed Pump Installer preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and physical endurance
Clean driving record; no DUIs
High school diploma or equivalent
Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English
Ability to pass drug/alcohol screening, DOT physical, and strength test
Willingness to travel and stay out of town (approx. 50 to 60% of workdays)
