Director Product Security (Finance)

We are seeking a Product Security Leader (PSL) for our Building Automation business (BA), specifically for the Security and Access Solutions (SAS) unit. This senior technical role involves shaping cybersecurity and privacy strategies for our product portfolio, reporting to the BA Cybersecurity Chief and matrixed to the SAS VP/CTO.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise the SAS VP/CTO on product security, privacy strategies, and cyber risk management.
• Influence product development to ensure security by design and default.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Legal, and Marketing to promote secure development practices.
• Mentor Product Security Directors, Architects, Champions, and developers.
• Maintain security metrics throughout the product lifecycle for continuous improvement.
• Manage product security risk and ensure compliance with policies.
• Promote adoption of security requirements and standard components.
• Enhance security processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in the Software Security Group to foster a security-focused culture.
• Lead incident response activities and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
• Address customer cybersecurity issues, compliance, and certifications.
• Build and develop a world-class product security team.

Must Have

• 6+ years in securing Cloud, Mobile, on-premises software, including embedded Linux and RTOS, Windows client/server.
• Understanding of DevSecOps.
• 2+ years in software development leadership.
• 10+ years in technology and cybersecurity.
• Expertise in secure software development lifecycle, threat modeling, security reviews, penetration testing, incident response.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISA/IEC 62243, NIST 800-53, NIST RMF).
• Experience with secure product reviews using automated and manual testing methods.
• Understanding of 'security by design' principles and architecture security.
• Awareness of current security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and negotiation.

Valued Skills

• Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, SCRUM development methodologies.
• Security and privacy certifications (CSSLP preferred).
