Digital Copywriter

Location: Hybrid in Culver City, CA (T-TR onsite)

Duration: 12 months

Pay: Up to $79.99/hr, DOE 

The Planet Group is looking for a Digital Copywriter with a background in UX   to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract. This role will be 40 hours a week and hybrid in Culver City, CA, working onsite Tuesday-Thursday.

This person will create develop engaging copy for a number of services across the company.

Digital Copywriter Responsibilities:

• Handle copy creation that is around customer acquisition and retention.



• Help build customer journeys across multiple services.



• Advocate for the user while also understanding the interests of marketing, business, and engineering groups.



• Offer and receive feedback for assigned projects and work.



• Work closely with partners around the company.



• Craft copy within existing tone, language, and design systems.



• Write engaging headlines, push notifications, and other in-app touch points.



• Balance customer goals, business requirements, and brand values.



• Collaborate with growth and business teams, as well as designers and other writers.



• Address feedback and improve performance of content through experimentation and testing.

Digital Copywriter Qualifications:

• 5+ years' experience.



• Portfolio showcasing work across digital, social, growth advertisements, and UX.



• Experience writing for product experiences, particularly commerce or checkout flows.



• Understanding of the end-to-end experience and how UX copy threads throughout.



• Enough fluency in design applications to effectively collaborate on wireframes and flows.



• Knowledge of functional specs and the ways to provide feedback that influences requirements.



• Experience working closely with legal teams to ensure we’re expressing ourselves in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.



• Long-term thinking paired with quick action.



• Confidence in prioritizing and managing several projects simultaneously.



• Adept at delivering passionate and impactful presentations at all levels of an organization.



• An inexhaustible attention to detail.
