The Job

As a Contract - Creative Project Manager for Amika, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of creative projects across multiple channels. In this role, you will work closely with designers, copywriters, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure creative deliverables are produced on time, within scope, and aligned with brand and creative objectives. You will act as the key liaison between creative and other departments, ensuring clear communication of project objectives, priorities, and feedback. This role requires project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced creative environment.

Rate: $45 per hour

Duration: 6 months

Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid role)

What You'll Do

  • Manage and oversee creative projects from initiation to final delivery, ensuring timelines, resources, and objectives are met for visual merchandising, print, and copy projects.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, tracking milestones, deadlines, and approvals to keep creative deliverables on schedule.
  • Facilitate the briefing process, ensuring copywriters and designers receive clear, actionable briefs with all necessary context and assets.
  • Manage and oversee the review and approval process, ensuring feedback is clear, actionable, and aligned with project goals.
  • Facilitate collaboration between copywriters, designers, and marketing teams, ensuring a smooth integration of messaging and visuals.
  • Act as the key liaison between design and copywriting teams, and other departments, ensuring clear communication of project priorities.
  • Enhance team communication and project transparency by effectively managing project boards on Asana, keeping all project details current and accessible to all team members.
  • Track workload and resource allocation, ensuring that copy and design teams are effectively managing priorities without bottlenecks.

Must Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, preferably within a creative, editorial, or copywriting team in the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industry.
  • Strong understanding of design and copywriting workflows, content strategy, and brand messaging.
  • Experience with digital marketing strategies and understanding their interplay with creative content.
  • Knowledge of the creative and post-production process to build schedules from inception to project completion
  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication/presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Asana preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Marketing, Communications, Photo/Video, or Media Studies.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Capture One, Box, Frame IO.
