Position Summary:
We are looking for a person who enjoys the financial industry. This position works across the firm and closely with the legal and compliance team, all focused on meeting the needs of our clients.
Education/Experience:
- Law Degree from an accredited law school
- License to practice law in Colorado
- Bachelor’s Degree, business or finance preferred
- Demonstrated interest in banking, wealth management, trust, or contract law
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (organized, clear, precise, concise)
- Inquisitive, positive, and flexible attitude
- Ability to draft, review, and edit contracts
- Effectively researches and analyzes laws, regulations, and releases and with critical thinking
- Produces high-quality research, analysis, and solutions
- Effectively uses resources
- Establishes priorities and communicates those priorities effectively
- Responsive, meets deadlines and works hard
- Willing to work flexible hours as needed
- Effectively works with outside attorneys and inside staff
- Ability to juggle projects, organize, and prioritize
- Ability to deal with tight deadlines, competing priorities and ambiguous circumstances
- Effective working independently and in a team
- Basic skills in MS Excel and Word
Responsibilities :
- Identify, research, and answer internal legal questions about, including among others, banking, trusts, fiduciary duties, securities, investment management, contract, and general corporate law
- Identify, draft, and implement internal controls and solutions
- Draft, negotiate, review and edit contracts, releases and other documents
- Research, analyze, summarize, and explain OCC, Federal Reserve, SEC, and other laws, regulations, and releases
- Apply research to facts and suggest effective solutions
- Provide leadership and knowledge to other employees
- Other duties as assigned
