At its core is the proprietary Human Life Model (HLM), designed to process unstructured conversations and story data sets without training client data into traditional LLMs. Instead, Uare.ai leverages 3rd-party LLMs for conversations, with HLM providing structure and reasoning.

About the Role:

Were seeking an experienced, handson engineer to lead as our CTO at a venturebacked, earlystage startup building cuttingedge, AIdriven products. As one of the first technical hires, youll have significant influence over architectural decisions, team culture, and product direction. This role blends deep technical design with crossfunctional leadership.

What Youll Do:

• Lead the design and development of core backend systems and scalable APIs to support AIpowered, realtime user experiences.
• Own architecture decisions for backend infrastructure, cloud orchestration, data pipelines, and thirdparty AI service integration.
• Work closely with machine learning engineers and frontend engineers to operationalize AI models in production.
• Establish and enforce best practices for system reliability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with the founding team on technical strategy, product planning, and hiring.
• Mentor and guide other engineers as the team scales.

What Were Looking For:

• 4+ years of experience building cloudnative backend systems for scale.
• Proven experience leading small teams or acting as a technical decisionmaker in earlystage environments.
• Strong knowledge of modern programming languages (Python, Go, or TypeScript preferred).
• Experience designing cloudnative systems (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including serverless, containerized, and microservicebased architectures.
• Deep understanding of secure data handling, authentication, and system scaling.
• Knowledge of API security, ratelimiting, and data privacy best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate crossfunctionally.
• Excited about building 0to1 products in a fastmoving environment.
