Job Description
The City of Ferndale is seeking an experienced and certified Building Official to lead our Inspection and Code Enforcement Division. This role is responsible for directing staff, performing building inspections and plan reviews, enforcing state and local building codes and zoning ordinances, and ensuring compliance across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of the Michigan Building Code, proven supervisory experience, and State of Michigan certifications as a Building Official, Building Inspector, and Plan Reviewer.
